World Water Day

Supervisor Adelita Grijalva’s District 5 Office invites the community to join events honoring of International World Water Day on March 22, 2022.

World Water Day highlights the importance of fresh water and advocates for the sustainable management of freshwater resources, issues close to home for Arizonans. Arizona is facing a 20% loss of its supply from the Colorado River in 2022 in the first-ever federally declared water cuts.

Register in advance for both events at www.adelitasgrijalva.com/waterday. If you have any questions, contact: district5@pima.gov or call (520) 724-8126.

Tips from the AZ Daily Star

  • Catch water from your shower and use it to water plants.

  • Go to a carwash instead of washing the car yourself.

  • If you have a double sink in your kitchen, fill one side with water and put used dishes in it to soak while you are cooking. They will be easier to wash that way without using so much water.
